Okay, this week I’ve tried new foods. I’ve tried Salmon, mostly, and some beef. No problem there. My stomach can handle those things, as well as nuts, which it seems a lot of Crohn’s people cannot handle. Me? Nah…cinch!
But today, I was running out of food, and said, “ah, what harm could a banana be?” I ate a 1/4 of one. READ THAT: only a 1/4 of a stinkin’ banana!!! Should be okay, right? I’ve been able to eat fruit so far. But NO!!!!!!
Within one hour I was having gas pains. Yes, it could have been because of the constant state of constipation (sorry to be graphic, but I feel honesty is best in this blog!), but it was just too coincidental. The gas pains lasted probably 2 hours, cycling through every 10-15 minutes. I eventually got to the store and got some Valerium Root to de-stress, and was able to distract my brain, which helped. But this pain was more intense than I’ve had in a long time.
Still….this is not half as bad as a lot of people who have Crohn’s, so I should be thankful.
I just can’t believe that a stinkin’ banana did this to me!!!!
Can I say ARRRRGGGGGGGGGG now?????
